Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-26

These terms cover the SimpleDeploy software (“the Software”) and the SimpleDeploy website and documentation (“the Site”).

The Software is licensed under the MIT License. Your rights and obligations regarding use, modification, and redistribution of the Software are defined by that license.

No warranty. Per the MIT License, the Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind. The maintainers and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Software. You are solely responsible for how you deploy and operate it, including securing your servers, protecting credentials, and complying with the laws applicable to you and your users.

The Site is provided free of charge for informational purposes.

  • Content may change or be removed at any time without notice.
  • Documentation is provided “as is”; following it does not guarantee any particular outcome.
  • The Site may link to third-party resources. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
  • You agree not to attempt to disrupt the Site, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, or use it to distribute unlawful content.

“SimpleDeploy” and the SimpleDeploy logo are unregistered marks of the project maintainers. The MIT License does not grant trademark rights. You may make factual references (for example, “compatible with SimpleDeploy”) but may not imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.

Contributions submitted via pull request, issue, or discussion are licensed under the same MIT License as the project unless explicitly stated otherwise. By contributing, you affirm you have the right to license your contribution under those terms. See CONTRIBUTING.md and the Code of Conduct.

To report security issues, follow the process in SECURITY.md. Do not file public issues for undisclosed vulnerabilities.

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

To the extent any law applies to use of the Site, these terms are governed by the laws applicable to the project maintainers, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
